Welcome to the Totally Brilliant Software Reference Help

This help is designed to provide detailed information about each of the TBS menu options, windows, and dialogue boxes, and is aimed at day-to-day users of TBS with a basic understanding of how the program works.

Date & time conventions

TBS allows you to enter dates and times in a variety of ways.

All dates used in this application are assumed to be since 1980, therefore only two digits are necessary for the year (eg 94 = 1994, 00 = 2000 etc.) If you are entering dates before 1980 (for example for equipment that may have been purchased in 1978, you must enter the full 4 figure year.)

Entering dates

To enter ‘10th December’, there are a variety of options:

Enter TBS assumption
10

10th day of the current month of the current year.

10/12 , 10.12, or 1012 10th day of the 12th month of the current year.
10 Dec, or Dec 10 10th of December of the current year

Entering times

All times must be entered using the 24-hour clock.

Times can be entered with either a full stop or a colon as the deliminter as shown below:
